Project Description

Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland
Year Completed:   2014

This project was a large commercial job to create an Adult Daycare Center. Gottpower was hired as the general contractor to plan and construct an ADA (Americans with Disability Act) specialized facility.  The site consisted of three separate units which were to be combined into one establishment.

The Challenges

Since this was to be a specialized facility, there was careful consideration to verify that every stage of the project met, and exceeded, all ADA codes and specifications. Gottpower is proud of the fact that, through careful planning and adhering to the rigid regulations of the American Disabilities Act, the project passed every first inspection, through each stage of development.

Project Coordination

Gottpower, the general contractor, was responsible for the coordination and planning of all stages of the project. This included the initial design and creation of the project outline and timeline, to include:

  • creating a project budget, formulate the materials list, and determine any special needs
  • organizing and coordinating his personal staff, and hiring and managing sub-contractors
  • preparing the site and overseeing demolition
  • scheduling of stages of development, including coordinating necessary state inspections
  • overseeing and troubleshooting at the job site to ensure project timeliness
