MARYLAND CERTIFIED MOLD SPECIALIST

We pride ourselves in being the mold geeks or the “Gurus of the Mold Industry.” Our inspectors will not only remediate the mold but find the reason the mold happened in the first place.

IF THE WATER OR MOISTURE IS NOT FIXED THEN THE MOLD WILL RETURN.

Molds affect people in different ways, whether it’s the 1000s of strands of allergenic molds which give allergic reactions, or the infamous toxic or black mold such as Stachybotrys, Penicillium, Fusarium, Cladosporium or Aspergillus. Our certified mold inspectors will provide you with every option for mold remediation.

WHERE AND HOW DOES MOLD GROW?

Molds are micro-organisms that are all around us, both indoors and outside. There are three main ingredients to mold growth.

  • Darkness – (e.g. low sun or UV lighting) Sunlight or ultraviolet lighting restricts mold growth. You can see the result of this on the north side of homes and structures, in air handling units, and in basements and crawl spaces for example.
  • Moisture – Water is the second ingredient which is needed. Water infiltration issues should be addressed as soon as they are discovered. Moisture problems are most prevalent in basement and crawl space leaks, roofing leaks, high condensation on windows, and places with high relative humidity (R.H.) (or absolute humidity). The EPA says problems with relative humidity begin indoors at just 50% R.H.
  • Nutrients – Nutrients are organic or cellulose materials such as wood, paper, carpet and foods. When excessive moisture is present indoors, molds can begin to grow.
